High Tea for the Hat Girls

Image
This week, we got to spend some time with our friends and all our of mamas at high tea.  You might be wondering what high tea is, so here's a spot of info! A group of nine of us, including Lynn, her Mama, Amanda, her Mama, and some friends with their Mama and kids made our way up to San Juan Capistrano.  In the quaint little town lies the Tea House on Los Rios .  It claims to be Orange County's Premier High Tea Experience.  From our experience, this is more than just a claim...this is a fact!   Each gal in our group got to choose from a menu that included a la carte food or tea experiences.  We had a mixture of both at our table but everyone had tea!  All the teapots were individually assigned to each guest and each teapot was unique.  The whimsical designs and bright colors really added to the beauty of our table decor.  Our teas ranged in flavor from hibiscus to chocolate mint.  There were so many to choose from and all were excel...

The Hat Girls are Charger Fans

We both spent many Sundays at Qualcomm stadium in San Diego as season ticket holders over the years.  We have traveled to away games, cheered loudly from many stands, and shared in the joy of some wins and the heartbreak of many losses.  Over the years, the Chargers became a way of life for both of us and a fun way to spend time together. When the tea...

This past weekend, the Hat Girls had a chance to spend a night out with some of our best friends and family.  Amanda happens to love Nick Swardson and the movie Grandma's Boy.  When she found out he was going to be performing in La Jolla, she wanted us all to go.  We had the best night with 6 others in our crew and we made hats for the occasion...of course! Each friend got to pick his or her favorite one liner from a Nick Swardson movie or show.  They sent it to us and we made matching hats for all of us to wear.  From the time we all met up and put them on, the laughter was endless.   We rode the Coaster, a train that takes us into San Diego, and got a LOT of attention with our matching hats.  People were laughing, commenting, and telling us what a great idea the hats were.  We made our way to Old Town, San Diego for some authentic Mexican food and cocktails and got more attention walking down the main street and eating at Cafe Coyote...
