High Tea for the Hat Girls

This week, we got to spend some time with our friends and all our of mamas at high tea.  You might be wondering what high tea is, so here's a spot of info!

A group of nine of us, including Lynn, her Mama, Amanda, her Mama, and some friends with their Mama and kids made our way up to San Juan Capistrano.  In the quaint little town lies the Tea House on Los Rios.  It claims to be Orange County's Premier High Tea Experience.  From our experience, this is more than just a claim...this is a fact!

Each gal in our group got to choose from a menu that included a la carte food or tea experiences.  We had a mixture of both at our table but everyone had tea!  All the teapots were individually assigned to each guest and each teapot was unique.  The whimsical designs and bright colors really added to the beauty of our table decor.  Our teas ranged in flavor from hibiscus to chocolate mint.  There were so many to choose from and all were excellent as we were able to share.

The food service was also amazing.  The tea experiences included soups, salads, fruit, scones, sandwiches, and dessert.  Guests could also choose to include champagne which of course the Hat Girls did!  Each course was brought out and it was all divine!  We were stuffed by the time the sandwiches came out.  Some of us made room for dessert but most took the sweet bites to go.

From the moment we entered the Tea House, we had a magical time.  The decor, the building, the little touches with mismatch glassware, and the photo ops were all simply fantastic.  We kept finding more and more things to look at like hidden fairy gardens or chandeliers strung in the air between the surrounding trees.  There were succulent gardens everywhere you looked and the tiny plants were potted in teacups, teapots, and even bicycle baskets.  There really is no way to describe the decor except whimisical and magical!

We loved spending a day out of the office with our friends and mamas and are grateful for a a job that gives us the flexibility to take time to enjoy life's little moments with those we hold dearest.  If you get a chance to visit The Tea House on Los Rios, or have been in the past, please comment and let us know.  We would love to hear your experience.  We will be back for sure!
